The week that was….
Tuesday:
It’s our bunso’s (Chissa) college graduation (DLSU-Dasma) and given my mom’s condition, I was the one who accompanied my dad to the ceremonies. I was really happy for my parents because I know how happy they are that all their kids are now college graduates, an achievement that all parents persevere to accomplish.
Congrats sis! Ako naman ang ililibre mo… haha :P
Friday:
My dad-in-law’s birthday. Friday is always a hectic day for me as ManCom reports are due within the day. Given my role as a “consolidator”, I often have to wait for the other projects’ input. I was out of the office by 6:30 PM. Luckily, it was also my brother-in-law’s HS grad (San Beda Alabang) and it was running a little behind schedule so there was no need to rush home for the birthday dinner.
My daddypops was to the rescue once again as he informed me that he could pick me up. We dropped by Conti’s in Serendra to buy a cake for Daddy Gani and buy pastries for my mom. I drooled over the cakes on display, they looked yummy to me (probably because I was a little hungry that time). I bought their bestseller, Mango Bravo :-) Everyone was happy with it (proof: it was polished in less than 2 days). I even had it for dessert after breakfast (Sat and Sun).
Here’s my dad-in-law with his cake. Happy birthday dadi! Many, many more to come.
Saturday:
My and baby’s regular check-up. I was due for an ultrasound (again because I continue to have light spotting once in a while) so hubby and I went to the Women’s Center first. Thankfully, everything was normal in there and my doctor found no internal bleeding. The ultrasound took longer this time as baby’s fetal biometry was checked by our doctor. Sigh of relief again when OB told us that everything is normal and baby is doing fine, right size. (Malikot rin. Start of the US, nasa normal position siya and then by the end of the US, ayun, breech position na siya). Unlike the past ultrasounds, we were having a difficult time deciphering what part of our baby is being shown onscreen. Hands and head lang ata yung na-identify namin agad :-) Galaw rin kasi siya ng galaw and I think only OB can tell which is which most of the time. But ok lang as long as everything is ok in there. Our OB wasn’t able to tell / see our baby’s gender yet and we’ll probably have to wait until next month to find out. Oh, we cannot wait :-)
I started to have flutters in my lower abdomen area two/three weeks ago and by this weekend, I was able to feel baby’s movements more often. We also started playing music for baby two weeks ago. We just chose 3 songs and this will be what we’ll be playing for baby until he/she’s born.
For the first time in my pregnancy, I gained weight :-D Yipee. I gained 3 pounds from last month. Funny thing is, my pre-pregnancy weight is 140lbs. I am now 143 lbs. Napapailing talaga ako when I think about this because I honestly eat whenever I am hungry and I thought I’d gain more than 3 lbs. Though I stopped having soft drinks, junk food and I am (sadly) limiting my chocolate intake. Naisip ko nga now na kaya pala I was having a hard time losing weight pre-pregnancy. It’s probably because of all the junk food. Hopefully, I can continue to avoid those “bawal” food post-pregnancy so I’ll lose the baby weight fast.
So, there. This week and next week are hectic weeks once again. Finals week kasi. And all I can think about is the end of the term (haha, advanced masyado). Since my due date is the end of the next term (August 23 and term ends by end of August), I’d be skipping school this first term. Depends on when baby will decide to pop out kung makaka-enroll ako on the second term of the next SY. Pag kasi early September siya, I might have to skip the term again. But ok lang :-) No rush naman ang studies ni mommy. Everything for baby :-)

My Holy Week
My tummy seems to have grown bigger this week as well. I think it’s the start of the growth spurt period they all talk about on the 4th and 5th month. I’ve been feeling flutters in my lower abdomen area as well. I think it’s baby (and hopefully I am right para hindi naman ako kinikilig tapos gas / what I ate lang pala) :-P
Good Friday, we went to my parent’s home to visit. I was also looking forward to seeing my darling nephews again. As usual, we took pics of our two boys :D Such cutie pies.
Juan Miguel (Miggy) ---- > mabait na baby sobra.
I spent Saturday attempting to do my paper for school. But the key word there is “attempt”. Hehe :-) I just spent the day malling with JJ.
Sunday is F1 day. Kimi won the Malaysian GP and I couldn’t be happier. Too bad the other Ferrari guy, Massa, is having a hard time with the loss of traction control. It would have been a 1-2 finish. Oh well, there’s the next race anyway.

My weekend
Sunday is a Sports day for us. Although we're also interested in the Pacquiao-Marquez match, we're more into Formula 1. Today was the season opener and since the race was in Australia, the race was held the same time as the boxing match. I am a Raikkonen fan and the result was pretty disappointing (the pic above shows him getting out of car with a failed engine) but JJ and I enjoyed watching the race. New rules were enforced this season and it made for a more exciting race. I cannot wait for the Malaysian Grand Prix next weekend :-) Hay, I am really hoping that JJ and I will get to watch one Grand Prix race one of these days.

In the 8 facts about yourself, you share 8 things that your readers don’t know about you. Then at the end you tag at least 8 other bloggers to keep the fun going. Here are the rules.
RULES:* Each blogger must post these rules first.* Each blogger starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.* Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.* At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.* Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
*********************************************************************************************************
1. My first name is TESS MARICHIE. It was supposed to be MARICHIE only (combination of my parents' names) but I was born on October 26, which is also my Lola Ima's (first name: Teresita) birthday. My lola was insisting on naming me MARITESS but since I am a firstborn, my dad didn't agree (CHIE is from his name - CHITO) and just added TESS to make my Ima happy :-)
2. Contrary to what most people conclude whenever they find out that JJ and I met in high school, we didn't become a couple until we were in second year college. I was the one who had a crush on him back in high school. (He didn't like me back then :-) ). But he was the one who schemed and schemed in college for us to be a couple :D
3. During our wedding preparations, it wasn't me who was particular with the details, it was hubby. I was the one saying, "puede na siguro yan".
4. It was only after college that I started to grow my hair. My family and JJ love my hair this way and they'd growl at me whenever I mention having it cut short.
5. I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) late last year.
6. I cannot sleep without saying my prayers.
7. I cry easily when watching TV shows (Grey's Anatomy, etc.) and movies. Hmm, sometimes, even commercials make me cry.
8. I am not good in playing computer games. I am always having a difficult time with the hand/eye coordination thing.

This has to stop!
I've been shopping for maternity clothes these past two weeks and I am having loads of fun wearing my new, now-so-comfy clothes. I think my tummy got bigger these past two weeks also as people from the office (who just looked at my tummy twice before) are now asking me how far along am I in my pregnancy. Possible nga kaya for my tummy to suddenly get bigger because of the new clothes?
I went shopping yesterday (yes, again. When will Havin' a Baby stop their sale ba kasi? It seems kasi na everytime I visit one store, may new items sa sale bin nila). Anyway, I was showing my loot to hubby this morning and when he saw the new pants, he just smiled and looked at me and asked me how many maternity pants I now have.Hmm Which got me thinking that I probably have more than enough pants/skirts na nga. Then I said, "okay, promise, tops na lang." He then said, "sige, let's see, you bought the blue and the brown one last week plus yung mga tela from Carolina's na ipapagawa mong dresses then....". And he went on to mention every single maternity top I bought from the past weeks. Gulp. Ok ok. Stop na talaga promise.
But enough of that. Now, I would like to show you guys what I bought yesterday. I bought a black skirt and black pants from Havin' A Baby and two pairs of pants from a tiangge stall in Market Market that sells Maternity stuff ( I just discovered it yesterday. Stuff are cheap here and I think mostly overruns of exporters. Nice materials and I recommend this stall to mommies-to-be. It's on the second floor, right side if you're facing the fountain near the mall's entrance).
I also bought new shoes (on sale din) from Janylin. Instead of buying flat ones, I bought one with square heels para sturdy pa rin.
And my final purchase.... I just fell in love with these colors
So that concludes my short, two-weeks stint as a shopaholic mommy Next purchases will only be for baby. Promise!

4th Month
I am on my second trimester already J (Yipee!). My last check up was in the middle of Feb and due to the continued light spotting episodes I keep on having, my OB decided that I have to have an ultrasound again. But this time, she requested for a pelvic ultrasound. Baby was contentedly floating the first few seconds and then started moving a lot J As usual, all smiles na naman kami ni JJ when we saw this. Our OB had a difficult time measuring our baby’s CRL because of the movements (OB even said “ wait wait baby, wait for me…. Hehe J). Plus baby is in an oblique position daw kaya additional difficulty. Nagpapakitang-gilas rin daw sa parents according to her. Everything was normal naman and she didn’t see any bleeding so I was just asked to continue taking Duvadilan and Duphaston to be on the safe side. Next check-up is scheduled on the 29th of March. I am still having these light spotting episodes and hopefully physiological lang siya like what my doctor suspects. But I still have to take it easy.
Though I am on my fourth month already, I barely show. But I can’t wear most of my office clothes na, specially the pants. So, I shopped for maternity clothes last week J Aliw! On sale din sa Havin’ a Baby so I was able to buy loads of stuff at a discount. Relief pala talaga when you start wearing preggy clothes. Comfy na comfy talaga J Kaya I kept my pre-preggy stuff na last weekend, to make room for my and baby’s new clothes sa closet. This early on, baby has lots of stuff already. Our cousin, Ate Michelle, sent me the baby stuff she wasn’t able to use with her bunso. My brother-in-law and his girlfriend also bought cute baby clothes for our little angel. They’re so dainty and nice J Nakaka-excite tuloy lalo manganak. JJ and I plan to buy baby’s stuff on my 6th or 7th month, para we know na if our little angel is a girl or a boy. But a lot of people are saying that we're gonna have a girl (wink wink)
Please continue praying for our health.
